Ester Oldham Lace Collection

The Ester Oldham Lace Collection was created by life-long Wellesley resident Ester Oldham (1900-1984). Oldham spent her lifetime collecting fans, lace, and an extensive library of materials related to creation and collection of both fans and lace. The Wellesley Historical Society’s collection is comprised of a sampling of Oldham’s fan collection (the entire collection was split between a number of museums). The Society holds Oldham’s entire collection of reference notebooks, library of lace books, along with thousands of pieces of lace (framed and unframed), and lace-making tools.
